North Beach, Calicut

Radio Mango studio is at North beach
You can access the north beach in Calicut from the fourth railway gate.  This gate is popular with the rich and famous of Calicut because of a number of coffee shops like Caffe Coffee Day and the Down Town.  There is a full fledged restaurant also here called ‘The Garlic Routes’.  The upmarket Gateway Hotel of the Tata Group is also on the western side of the gate.  There is one Moidhu Moulavy National Museum here on Vellayil Road and the office of KALA-Kozhikode Art Lovers Association. Agarwal Packers and Movers is nearby.  Walk right side and enter Joseph Road where there is a city park.  Vellayil Juma Masjidh and a very short sea bridge are located here.  Turn right at the beach and you can access fishing villages like Konadu where a marine fish farm, an acquarium and the Vellayil police station are located. The Kambaram temple is the next landmark Varakkal and Athanikkal villages.  Radio Mango office is visible now followed by Puthiyappa and Vengaly fishing villages.  Your walk ends at Elathur beach on the extreme north of Calicut city.
