Walking on the eastern side of Mananchira pond takes you to
the Girls school, police commissioner office and the model UP school. Moving further south takes you to the
Ahamedhiyya Mosque, Catholic Syrian Bank and Tip Top Topicana. Moving back again to Nadakkavu can take you
to Panicker road on the west with a railway gate blocking your way only when
the train comes. Crossing the gate takes
you to Puthiyakadavu road on Calicut beach.
The less crowded part of the beach is called Gandh Road junction and
from here you can reach West Hill Chungam junction where there is a famous
Cannanore restaurant popular for meat dishes.
The majestic roman building of Government Guest House is in this
junction.
